ABOUT ERIN BESCH

Erin Besch is currently pursuing a Master's of Fine Art through the Burren College of Art in Ireland.​ She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from Union College in Schenectady, NY.​ She recently earned her Master of Art Education degree at University of Florida where Besch utilized her psychology and visual arts background to apply to her future art education aspirations. Through the Master of Art Education program at UF, Besch utilized her psychology and visual arts background to apply to her future art education aspirations. She is also working to expand her portfolio at the Kang O’Higgins Atelier to develop her artistic voice and apply to an MFA program. Besch primarily works in drawing and painting mediums, however also enjoys printmaking, woodburning, and the occasional website and logo design. Besch is an advocate of mental health awareness and practices and integrates themes relating to mental health into both her educational and studio practices. Through her work she hopes connect with others who may be struggling through their own personal hardships while also highlighting the potential for growth and new beginnings. Besch brings this mindset into her teaching philosophy with the goal to help students find their artistic voice and grow not only as artists, but as individuals.
